Application Notes:Find the side with arrows on the foil pouch. Peel that layer off completely and discard. DO NOT PUNCTURE OR CUT the remaining sealed pouch that contains the coaster lure. DO NOT REMOVE the large round coaster lure from the pouch.The clear layer is a slow release material that allows the scent to gradually escape into the air. Hang traps individually, one per every 30m. Change lure every 30 days and trap as necessary, continue trapping for 6-9 weeks or as necessary. See reference photo.
I was hoping this would help curb the thrips on my dahlias, but unfortunately it only attracted butterflies, moths and bees. I wanted these to work. I have moved them to different areas trying to attract the thrips, but the dahlias are still plagued by them. No thrips are visible on the blue cards.
Hi Kristin, as we discussed, you do not have Western Flower Thrips. The lure is species-specific and will not attract other species - although some other species may be caught accidentally. We encourage you to contact your local extension office to identify your pests.
